In 1964 they formed the band in Sydney , Australia.
"Little"Stevie Wright (from England),George Young (from Scotland)
Gordon "Snowy " Feet(from England),Dick Diamond(from Holland)and harry
Vanda(from Holland). They were all children of family emigrant to Australia.
When they played at Beatle Villege club, they met a producer Ted Albert.In
March '65 they released their 1st single "For My Woman/Say That's You Are
Mine".In May they released 2nd single "She 's So Fine", In July it made
#1 hit in Australia,the first of five hits made them most famous
band in there. In 1966 they signed to United Artists and moved to U.K.
to work with producer Shel Talmy. In December they released "Friday
on My Mind " which was written by Young and Vanda made #6 in UK chart.In
'67 the song reaches US #16 and their album "Friday on My Mind " made US
#180.
